Premachand Saahity Sansthaan

Literature has a special role in social change and development. Premchand considered literature as a critique of life. With positive criticism of life, literature plays its role in the change and development of life and society. To make this role of literature possible, Premchand Sahitya Sansthan has been established. The aim of the institute is to study, evaluate and publicize all the creative literature of Premchand and his ideology. Since its inception, Premchand Sahitya Sansthan is conducting its literary programs keeping in mind its objectives. The details of the programs run by the institute are as follows

Establishment of Research Center- In the context of Indian literature, the institute is running a special research center to study and evaluate Premchand's literature. All the necessary materials related to Premchand's study are being collected in this center.

Publication of Sakhi Traumasic magazine- To realize the objectives of the institute and to improve the cultural consciousness of the readers, a magazine called Sakhi is being published under the editing of the famous poet Kedarnath Singh.

Library- Premchand Sahitya Sansthan is operating a regular library. The best literature of Premchand's tradition is being compiled in the library. Apart from this, the best thinking literature related to ideological and social subjects is also being compiled. A section for children has been started in the library of the institute. This library is working to develop healthy social consciousness in children. Since 14 March 96, this library is now in Premchand Park, the historical Premchand Niketan, where Premchand stayed from 1916 to 1921 while teaching in the Normal School.

Pathak Seva- The institute is running a reading service for the promotion of the best creative literature. Monthly composition seminar- To encourage new creators and to get acquainted with the new works of old creators, the institute is organizing monthly composition seminars. Apart from this, the institute organizes some important poets and thinkers by organizing them on their birthdays and death anniversaries.

Premchand Sahitya Puraskar- Every other year, the institute will honor Premchand Sahitya Puraskar, the best Indian writer of Premchand's tradition, as soon as resources are available to promote Premchand's literature tradition.

Fellowship- The institution will also provide fellowships to encourage research work related to Premchand, when economic sources are available.

Premchand Smritiksha- The institute is trying to establish a museum in the form of Premchand Smritiksha. In which Premchand's manuscripts, letters, material used and rare pictures etc. are being collected.

Guest house- The institute will arrange a well-furnished guesthouse in which accommodation facilities can be provided to researchers coming from outside. Premchand is a worldview writer. His readers and fellows are spread all over the world. Through this institute, financial support will be required at all national, regional and local levels in accordance with a well- organized plan for the study, analysis, dialogue publication, etc., focusing on literature from Premchand and his tradition. We want both the public and the administration to participate in this great event.
